Fire Door Remediation and Replacement at Sisters of Nazareth, Finchley

Concept Fire Protection has completed a substantial fire door remediation and replacement programme for Sisters of Nazareth at its premises in Finchley, London.

The project involved remedial works to 208 existing fire doors, alongside the installation of 51 new fire door sets, creating a comprehensive programme designed to support the ongoing management of fire safety throughout the building.

Fire Door Installation

A Comprehensive Fire Door Programme

Rather than simply replacing doors across the site, the project incorporated both remediation and new installation works.

Where existing fire doors could be appropriately remediated, our team carried out the necessary works to improve their condition and performance.

Where replacement was required, new compliant fire door sets were installed.

The overall scope included:

  • Remediation of 208 existing fire doors

  • Installation of 51 new fire door sets

  • Installation of a bespoke 5-metre oak door set and screens

  • Works carried out under the BM TRADA Q-Mark scheme for fire door installation and maintenance

In total, the programme covered 259 fire doors and door sets across the Finchley premises.

BM TRADA Q-Mark Fire Door Works

All installation and maintenance works were undertaken under the BM TRADA Q-Mark scheme.

The scheme provides a structured framework for fire door installation and maintenance, placing emphasis on quality workmanship, traceability and accountable delivery.

For projects of this scale, maintaining consistency across both remedial and replacement works is essential, particularly where large numbers of doors are being assessed and worked on throughout an occupied building

Bespoke 5-Metre Oak Door Set and Screens

One of the final elements of the project was the installation of an impressive 5-metre oak door set and surrounding screens.

The installation provided a high-quality finish while forming part of the wider fire door programme, demonstrating how fire safety requirements can be incorporated without compromising the appearance and character of a building.

Supporting Ongoing Fire Safety

With remediation and installation works completed across 259 fire doors and door sets, the programme has helped Sisters of Nazareth strengthen the ongoing management of fire safety at its Finchley premises.

The project demonstrates Concept Fire Protection’s capability to deliver large-scale fire door remediation, maintenance and replacement programmes, combining technical expertise with careful project coordination and quality-controlled installation.
